Hi! I’m Suyin Nichols, and I’m a Master Certified Coach specializing in teaching open-minded women how to build a healthy relationship with food after years of chronic dieting.
Why am I an expert at what I do? Because I don’t just scratch the surface. What I do is guide you on an inner journey to help you uncover the root cause of your struggle with food and overeating. This is powerful, life-changing work. How do I know? Because I created my own success story using the very same coaching tools I will be teaching you.
I suffered in Diet Mentality hell for twenty-five years, hating my body and developing a crippling love-hate relationship with food. By 2005, I had reached my highest recorded weight after years of repeating the binge-diet-binge cycle. The damage I was causing my body led me to experience my own personal rock bottom when I could no longer properly digest food.
I was miserable and sick, yet something inside of me knew that getting well was up to me. For the first time in my life, my health was my main focus—not my weight. I finally admitted that the diet game wasn’t working, so I opened up my mind to seek out a different approach. This is when coaching came into my life. I had never heard of such a thing! Little did I know, my whole life was about to change.
With the guidance of my coach, I was able to finally understand what was driving my chronic emotional overeating behavior. The inner work I did helped me to repair my once-dysfunctional relationship with food, and a huge bonus was that I was able to cure my digestive problems without medication.
While fitting into smaller clothes has been a side-benefit, the most important outcome is that I’m completely at ease around food in any situation. This is the kind of freedom I always wanted for myself, and now I have it thanks to coaching.
Because coaching actually works, I became a Certified Coach in 2009 so that I could help others end their struggle with food like I did. In 2015, I earned my certification as a Master Coach through The Life Coach School. Over the span of my career, I have been a guest on various podcasts, been interviewed for health & wellness online seminars, and appear as a featured expert in The Inner Weigh ™, a beautiful documentary film about achieving food and body peace from within.
Over the years, my coaching method has evolved into include the element of self-love. This is an idea I used to dismiss back in my crazy diet days, but now I see that it was the most important piece missing from the puzzle. You cannot hate your way to a peaceful relationship with food. To truly end the struggle, you must build a solid, loving relationship with yourself first. I’ve outlined a very effective process to do just that in my book called Love Yourself Lighter: How to End Your Weight Struggle by Changing the Way You Think. I also offer private, one-on-one coaching for those who want to work with me directly.

When we work together, we will have weekly coaching sessions over the phone that last an hour. Coaching over the phone is so powerful because you’re likely to share more in this type of setting than you would face-to-face. The more you share with me, the more I can help you. The same goes for the email coaching between sessions. A lot of great progress can be made with the homework assignments you’ll be practicing during the week between calls, and through email coaching, I will be there for guidance and support.
